I have been asked to install two peripherals, a speaker and a digital camera. Below I will be explaining step by step instructions through photographic evidence on how to connect a speaker and a digital camera to a computer.
Installing speakers
First of all you make sure that each switch is turned off.
When you have made sure that the plugs are switched off, kneel down and insert the speaker cable.
Make sure that cable is inserted into the correct jack which will have a microphone icon beside it. Once it has been inserted then your speakers have been installed. when you turn your comouter on you can then adjust and change the volume yourself. you can also change the volume of the speaker on the speaker itself. I done this and to test if the sound works I watched a video on Youtube and it was successful.
Installing a digital camera
To install a digital camera onto the computer, you do the same as the above and make sure that the plugs are switched off. Then insert the cable into the CPU unit which is at the front of your computer.
Next make sure the digital cameras USB is in the correct jack. It will have a USB icon beside it jack which it has to be inserted.
Then you have to insert the other end of the USB into the camera. This is inserted into the bottom of the camera.
Once you have inserted the USB into the digital camera your camera is now connected to your computer.
When you insert the cameras USB into the CPU the picture above will appear at the right hand side at the bottom of your screen.
Open “My Computer” section which you will find in the control panel.
When your files have appeared in the “My computer” section, down the left hand side of the screen the camera icon will be there. Click on the camera icon and then your pictures from your camera will appear on your computer.
When you have clicked on the camera icon a file will appear called external memory. Click on it as it will take you to another folder.
Another folder will appear called DCIM, click on this folder and it will then take you to your pictures.
This folder contains all of the photos that have been taken. Save all of them to your computer in a simple folder or just copy and paste them over.
